Hammer Lures

A Jeff Klassen Signature Series lure

The Hammer was originally designed to catch Bluefish and Striped Bass, replicating the sand eel (which is a fish, not an eel), found around the Northeast Atlantic.  It just so happens that it also matches pretty much any slender baitfish around the world and as such, will catch just about any fish, casting from surf and shore to jigging structure to lunging in to schools of feeding Tuna. The Hammer comes in several sizes to fine-tune the size bait you're matching. This can be important when fish are being selective. The bright nickel lure finish is complimented with either a white and chartreuse, or white and pink bucktail hook. This lure is terrific for many species of fish, including: Striped Bass, Bluefiush, all Tuna species (inshore and offshore), Sierra and Spanish Mackerel, Jacks & Trevallies of all kinds, Grouper, Snapper, Barracuda, Snook, Redfish, Speckled (Spotted) Sea Trout, ... even Tarpon!

The Hammer body lengths are 2 1/2, 3 3/8, 3 1/2 and 4 inches respectively. Mustad #3407 2/0 are used on the 1/2 and 1 oz., 4/0 on the 11/2 oz. and 2 oz. Hammer. The bucktail is 2 1/4 inches long.
