Hammer Lures

The Hammer lure comes in 4 different sizes, with your choice of two different color bucktail hooks. Here you can order the size/hook color which best suits the fish species and size you plan to target.

1/2 ounce 2 1/2 inch Hammer: Suitable for light tackle fishing and for smaller Jacks & Trevallies, Sierra/Spanish Mackerel, schooling "football" Tuna along with assorted reef fishes including Groupers and Snappers. Use with 10lb to 15lb mono or 20lb braid line.

1 ounce 3 3/8 inch Hammer: Suitable for average sized Jacks & Trevallies, Pargo (Cubera & Colorado Snapper), smaller Striped Bass, Bluefish, Snook, Sierra/Spanish Mackerel, Garrick (Leerfish), schooling Tuna and Dorado (Mahi). Use with 15 to 20lb mono or 20lb to 30lb braid line.

1.5 ounce 3 1/2 inch Hammer: Suitable for larger Striped Bass, Bluefish, Barracuda, Jacks & Trevallies, smaller GT's (Giant Trevally), large Sierra Mackerel, Pargo (Cubera & Colorado Snapper), Snook, Tarpon, Garrick (Leerfish), Tuna and Dorado. Use with 15 to 30lb mono or 20lb to 40lb braid line.

2 ounce 4 inch Hammer: Suitable for large Striped Bass, Bluefish, Jacks & Trevallies, GT's (Giant Trevally), Larger Mackerel species, larger Tuna and Dorado (Mahi), Snappers, Groupers, Amberjack. Use with 20 to 30lb mono or 20lb to 60lb braid line.
